We left Rome by plane to St. Petersburg, where we took the Red Arrow to Moscow, where the real Trans- Siberian railway starts. From Moscow we went straight to Ulaanbaatar with the train n.4 Moscow-Beijing, where we rented a Uaz to get to the Gobi during six days of travel. Once back to UB we took again the train to Irkutsk, from where we flew to St. Petersburg and, then, to Rome.
